Asus ZenFone AR to feature 8 GB RAM and Tango AR

Asus ZenFone AR to feature 8 GB RAM and Tango AR. ZenFone AR is world’s first smartphone to support Google’s Tango AR and Daydream VR both.

The device was first showcased at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 in January. But, since then Asus didn’t make any announcement about availability of the device till now. Recently, Google confirmed that Asus ZenFone AR will be available for purchase before July this year.

ZenFone AR has three rear camera system called TriCam which allows the device to perform respective tasks like motion tracking, measuring depth and room mapping.Asus ZenFone AR to feature 8 GB RAM and Tango AR

The device has 5.7-inch WQHD 1440p Super AMOLED display with 79% screen-to-body ratio protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4. The device covers 100% of NTSC colour gamut. The device runs on ASUS ZenUI 3.0 which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

It is powered by 64-bit Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 system-on-chip clocked at 2.35Ghz. Graphics duties are handled by Adreno 530 GPU. It has two RAM options; 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4 RAM. The device has three Internal storage options 32GB / 64GB / 128GB / 256GB which supports Universal Flash Storage 2.0 technology for faster speeds. It also supports Micro-SD cards up to 2TB.

It has 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual real-tone LED flash located at the top. It has 23MP Sony rear camera having f/2.0 aperture and 6P lens. Rear camera has laser auto-focus, 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization and Dual-LED real tone flash.

There is 3300mAh battery to keep the device running. It supports BoostMaster Fast Charging which charges 60% battery capacity in just 39 minutes. It also has something called, 5 magnet speaker system which provides up to 40% better performance with SonicMaster 3.0. The DAC outputs Hi-Res audio at 192kHz/24-bit standard.
