Smart Speakers are quite popular these days and many start manufacturing a new product with new technology. Most of us heard about the Amazon Echo which got a good response from the users and now Alibaba has launched their own device, the Tmall Genie. It will be an Amazon Echo competitor and works like smart speaker and similar to Echo.
Tmall Genie comes with some same features like smart home control, weather, news, music and it can even order items from Alibaba’s shopping site, through voice commands. So basically it has very similar functions and controls just like Amazon Alexa enabled devices. The Tmall Genie features the AliGenie voice assistant that gives good experience for the users.
The best part of the Tmall Genie is its voiceprint recognition. This gives more secured and allows only authorized users can use specific functions through voice commands.
The Tmall Genie is launching in China as the first phase and soon it will be available for all global users via Alibaba site. It will costs around 499 yuan which is about $73 and only the users sign up here will be notified and shipped on July 17th. If you are from India then the Tmall Genie will cost around 4000 INR in India.
