HTC 10 Evo Review: Specifications, Features and Price

HTC just launched their latest Smartphone in the Indian market, the HTC 10 Evo. The HTC 10 Evo was globally launched a few months back as the HTC Bolt Android device. As we are expecting the HTC 11 to hit the markets within a few weeks now, the HTC 10 Evo launch in India is quite a surprise.

HTC Evo 10 Review: Hardware Specifications:

Talking about the hardware specifications of the HTC 10 Evo, the device sports a 5.5inch Super LCD 3 display with Quad HD resolution at 1440×2560 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection as well.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 810 processor from Qualcomm clocked in at 2.0GHz. The device also features the Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage space. Micro SD card slot is also provided for storage expansion up to an additional 256GB. There is a 16MP primary camera as well as an 8MP secondary camera in the HTC 10 Evo.

The device runs on the latest Android Nougat 7.0 operating system with the latest HTC Sense UI on top. The battery unit provided in the device is a 3200mAh unit that is non-removable.

Other features of the HTC Evo Android Smartphone include the omission of the 3.5mm headphone jack,  a fingerprint scanner and IP57 rating for dust and water resistance up to 1-meter depth for 30 minutes maximum.

HTC 10 Evo Review: Quite Impressive!

HTC-made Android Smartphones are very well known for their built quality and software experience, and the HTC 10 Evo review makes us feel that this device is no exception. The all-metal unibody construction and the overall feel and weight of the HTC 10 Evo at 174grams, all screams quality.

The 5.5inch Quad-HD Super LCD 3 display of the HTC 10 Evo is quite bright with really good color reproduction and outdoor visibility at 534PPI. The device also features some really large upper and lower chin for the display at 70.2% screen-to-body ratio.

Performance-wise, the HTC 10 Evo is no slouch with the octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor at 2.0GHz and 3GB of RAM. No matter whether you are into super high-end gaming or multi-tasking, the HTC 10 Evo can easily take on any of these tasks without causing any lags or hiccups.

Even the camera performance of the HTC 10 Evo is something that can be expected from a flagship class device. The camera output from both the rear and the front camera of the HTC 10 Evo does justice to the HTC 10 branding that the device has, capturing stellar photos under ample lighting conditions.

During the HTC 10 Evo review, photos taken even in low lighting conditions using the HTC 10 Evo can easily be compared to that of similar high-end flagship spec-ed Smartphones out there. However, the photos do tend to lack the level of detail and high-quality color reproduction that, for instance, devices like the Samsung Galaxy S7 has.

Even the battery backup is very impressive for a device this powerful, thanks to the 3200mAh battery found in the device. With medium usage patterns, you can easily churn out a day worth of battery backup from the HTC 10 Evo. And also as the HTC 10 Evo supports Quick Charge 2.0, charging up the HTC 10 Evo from 0 to a full 100 percent is just a matter of a couple of hours.

One major disadvantage of the HTC 10 Evo is indeed that you won’t find the 3.5mm headphone jack in this device. Even at the time when other popular Android Smartphone manufacturers are choosing to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack on their Android Smartphones, HTC has chosen to remove it from the HTC 10 Evo, which is a very bad move.

Other features of the HTC 10 Evo, like the IP57 certification for water and dust resistance and fingerprint scanner for protection, does make the HTC 10 Evo fit into the current Smartphone market without feeling outdated.

Today, HTC 10 Evo was launched in India for 48K INR. HTC 10 Evo is now available at HTC online store.
