Brandeis Prometheus: A luxury phone for $800. If you are not a tech enthusiastic then you may have never heard the name of Brandeis brand and their new smartphone named Prometheus. A few days back, Vertu Launched SIGNATURE Cobra and here we got another luxury smartphone for damn cheap, $800.
Prometheus is not like other regular Android smartphone. The design of Brandeis Prometheus is inspired from Lamborghini and the creators of the smartphone are calling the device as “Lamborghini of smart-phones”.
Just like any Lamborghini, the price of the device is also high, not very high but the device is priced at $800 and it is available in Black color. The device is made using durable and it can stay cool even when running heavy and demanding apps and games.
The screen of the device can be said as an overkill for any regular smartphone. It has 6″ Super AMOLED freedom display and resolution of the screen is 4K giving is whopping 801 PPI. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The device also has 2.5D edge screen and metal side panel.
It has a dual rear camera with dual-lens technology; both the camera sensors are having a 12MP resolution. It has Octa-LED ring light flash for taking pictures in low-light. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core flagship Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 540 GPU for smooth gaming.
The device has 8GB of RAM for smooth multitasking. There is enough 256GB of storage for storing a lot of data and apps. The device also features dual-SIM card slots, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. The second SIM slot can also be used for using Micro-SD card as well.
It has 3,500mAh battery which also supports Quick Charge 4.0 technology for faster charging. Battery charges up to 50% in 15 minutes due to fast charging technology.
The Brandeis Prometheus will cost around $800 in the US and it will be available for Pre-orders in the next few weeks. The first 1,000 pre-orders may get some discounts in the price tag cut in half and in India it will cost less than Rs. 55,000. Still, there is no any official announcement about the worldwide launch!
