We may have only passed about a week from the official Samsung Galaxy S8 launch, but latest rumors reveal that Samsung is already way ahead of the game, planning on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 Android Smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will be made official in the Q1 of 2018 following the launch pattern till the Galaxy S8, and today rumors claim that Qualcomm and Samsung are talking about plans to develop the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, which will be powering the Samsung Galaxy S9.

Samsung currently builds the Snapdragon 835 for Qualcomm based on their first generation 10nm process and following the recent confirmation from Samsung that the second generation 10nm process is ready to begin manufacturing, it is safe enough to assume that the upcoming Snapdragon 845 chipset will be based on this 10nm process.

The updated 10nm process will feature a performance increase up to 10% and also up to 15% reduced power consumption as per Samsung.

However, Samsung’s competitors in Chip manufacturing, TSMC is said to be working on their own 10nm process, on which the next generation Apple A11 chipset will be based on.

Even if Qualcomm decides to go in favor of TSMC to build their future processors, Samsung can still stay busy in business by just producing enough high-end chips to power their upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and the future Samsung Galaxy Note 9 devices.
