The Nokia brand is all alive again thanks to HMD Global, the “Nokia” brand name licensee. We all got pretty excited when Nokia hit the markets back with the Nokia 6 Android Smartphone a few weeks back. Even though the Nokia 6 was not the flagship killer Smartphone that we all have been eagerly waiting for, the Nokia 6 Smartphone was good enough to get Nokia fans from around the globe rejoicing on the comeback of the world’s most famous phone brand.
Rumours of a topped up Nokia branded Android Smartphone with the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset and other goodies have been making rumour rounds for some time now. We do not have an official name for the Smartphone yet and the rumoured product have been called the Nokia P1, the Nokia 8 and so on. Also, Samsung is getting ready for MWC 2017 to release Samsung Galaxy S8.
Even though we do not have any name as of now, we do expect Nokia to unveil their 2017 flagship Android Smartphone at the MWC event happening at Barcelona in the end of February. Apart from the launch of their flagship Android Smartphone, rumours from trusted sources also point towards a possible Nokia tablet launch happening during the MWC 2017 event as well.

After the second-long sell out of the Nokia 6 Android Smartphone just being on sale, we can only wait to see what kind of an impact the next in the lineup of Nokia’s device range for 2017 would make.
Talking about the expected features of the Nokia flagship Android Smartphone of 2017, the device is expected to feature the best in class latest Snapdragon 835 SoC and 6GB of RAM. The device will be featuring a 5.7 inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1440×2560 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection as well. The device will be running the latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system.

Nokia will make no compromises regarding the camera as well. The 2017 flagship Smartphone from Nokia, dubbed the Nokia 8, will be featuring a 24MP primary camera sensor with dual-tone LED flash and Optical Image Stabilization that can record 2K resolution videos at 30 fps. The front facing camera will be of 12 MP resolution that will support 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps as well.
Other hardware additions will include a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing. The battery will be non-removable thanks to the metal construction that the Nokia 8 will feature and will be rated in between 3000-4000mAh.
Rumours also claim that there will be two different variants of the upcoming Nokia 8 Android Smartphone, and the hardware specifications mentioned above will be that of the premium one out of the two.
