Steps to Unlock Bootloader on Moto G5 Plus:

  • From your Windows PC, navigate to the folder where the ADB and Fastboot tool is installed.
  • On any empty space of the folder, hold on to the Shift key on your keyboard and press the right button on your mouse.

  • Connect your Moto G5 Plus to the PC using a MicroUSB cable.
  • Now in the Command Window, type the command and press Enter.

  • Then type the command and hit the Enter key.

  • Copy all the codes now displayed (demo in above image) to a notepad.
  • Now, log on to Motorola’s official website to unlock bootloader by clicking here to request the unlock key.
  • Sign in using your Google account credentials if asked.
  • Click on the “Can My Mobile be Unlocked” option and enter the code you copied in Step 7 above.
  • You will be receiving the Unlock ID to your registered mail account shortly.
  • Now in the command window, type the command and Replace UNLOCKKEY with the key you received via mail.
